The bunny really drew me in. You can even see its expression, but you just KNOW that it truly longing to get back to its house.
Now I read your artist comments saying that you were working on backgrounds. You really succeeded in this piece. The winding path is shaded so well, the bushes in their varying colors that continue all the way up to the house, as well as the mountains that continue in the background.
What I loved most though was the subtle shading you have going on here. The highlight-ing on the bunny looks so natural, and you can just catch a glimpse of pink if you look close enough. And the tree and leaves are also so well done. I can tell each of the leaves was made with care and the different colors really gave it a lot of depth. Same for the colors in the bushes.
Also, the house looks so cute and quaint, it just continues to add to the emotion of the piece; the little rabbit wanting to return home. That really hits home when you look at it.
I really can't say anything bad about this. Your background came out so well. Everything from the shading, detail and colors all comes together so well to really make this piece.
