Fisshhyyyy! :giggle:
This one actually changed a little bit from my original concept.. I decided to place the fish in the middle and make it a little bigger instead.

I really love the colors that you chose for this piece. A normal underwater scene is usually done in cool colors but you some how managed to do it in warm colors and not make it look abstract! It makes the piece very unique as well which I like!

I love that there is a brilliant light source from the top giving it a heavenly quality. The style is very nice as well, it looks like it could come out of a children story book.

The flow of the fishes fins are beautiful, along with the flow of the sea jellies tentacles. I really don't see anything you need to improve on, I like the piece as is!

Great Job! :w00t!:

Like I said in the quick comment I posted - I just love how those jellyfish have been painted, and the colours you've used to paint them with. Infact, I love the colours you have used to paint the entire piece with - when I think of water, I think of the colours like blues and greens for the most part, so using warm colours for something like this is a great contrast, and you've done it well!

It actually makes me feel calm when looking at it. Other viewers may feel different though ;) I'll put the blame for that on those lovely jellyfish and how naturally fluent you've made them...and some more on those soft lights you've layed upon them and that little fish, (lets call her Goldia), I mean, you've even given some nice highlights to those bubbles. :XD:

Moving on to Goldia, I would say that, like the jellyfish, you've done well to make the fins look fluent like they should be in the water, but one of her fins, the right one, looks like it should be brought down a tad more, though that's nothing major.

The major thing I think could be improved on is her scales. To me, they seem too...bold, or stand out more than they should compared to the rest of the piece - maybe make the lines that define each scale fade out more, or less apparent as they reach the lighter areas.

For example, [link] - see how the scales look less apparent as they reach the light?

That's the only thing I really see that should to be improved - just practise painting scales :) You're skills at painting smooth surfaces are easily shown on the jellyfish as well as other deviations in your gallery. All in all, this is a lovely, original piece - something I don't see all too often. Looking forward to seeing more pieces like this, so keep it up!

I hope you found this helpful as much as I found it fun to write..

:iconlegaspplz: WOW, this is so stunning!! I love the rich colours! And there's so much optimism and warmth here - though it's a water scene, it's certainly not cold! Hehe. The goldfish makes me think of an oceanic variety of a phoenix :aww: And the jellyfishies are radiant too! I love the golden light shining down on them and how they're moving towards it :aww:
