Artist's CommentsFisshhyyyy! This one actually changed a little bit from my original concept.. I decided to place the fish in the middle and make it a little bigger instead. I love that there is a brilliant light source from the top giving it a heavenly quality. The style is very nice as well, it looks like it could come out of a children story book.
The flow of the fishes fins are beautiful, along with the flow of the sea jellies tentacles. I really don't see anything you need to improve on, I like the piece as is!
Great Job!
It actually makes me feel calm when looking at it. Other viewers may feel different though
Moving on to Goldia, I would say that, like the jellyfish, you've done well to make the fins look fluent like they should be in the water, but one of her fins, the right one, looks like it should be brought down a tad more, though that's nothing major.
The major thing I think could be improved on is her scales. To me, they seem too...bold, or stand out more than they should compared to the rest of the piece - maybe make the lines that define each scale fade out more, or less apparent as they reach the lighter areas.
For example, [link] - see how the scales look less apparent as they reach the light?
That's the only thing I really see that should to be improved - just practise painting scales
I hope you found this helpful as much as I found it fun to write..
