Hey all, I just wanted to explain my reasons for generally removing every one of my pieces here. I've kept the emotes I made specifically for DA so other people could interact with each other, but other than that... I am SO DONE with DA with the latest piece of news they've just released surrounding AI art. Not only did they spring this up on us out of the blue, but they also OPTED EVERYONE IN!!!! So every single deviation could have been used for the AI to learn from and then somebody could come along and type that they wanted something in a particular users style and BOOM... new AI art for them. DA made it almost as difficult as possible to opt out of it that they not only made it so that people had to individually go into each piece to say no (around 300 art pieces for me), but they also had a disclaimer that said: 'Flag this deviation to inform third parties that you do not authorise it being included in datasets used to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models. Please note that DeviantArt cannot guarantee that it will not appear in any third party datasets.'. - EXCUSE ME?! So even if you check that there's no express permission, with their new interface to create AI art, it could happen anyway?! WHAT?! How is this supporting artists rights? Copyright Laws? etc etc... More to the point, I would have completely deactivated my account, but they also state that you cannot get your username back along with other things happening... so say if the CEO changed and came to their senses at just how awfully they were treating the artists on the platform, that *cough* was made for artists *cough*, then sorry! You can't have the username that people know you by. Soz! Awful. I'm not supporting it... I DO NOT consent to any of my work or parts of my work being used to train AI or be reproduced in any way without express written consent from me, Paulette Arochena. 'Help Them Stay Warm' Cause

Hey guys, I hope you're all well. I just wanted to make a journal to help a good cause.
This wonderful idea was put together by
so any kind of help at all would be fantastic! Even by sharing...Here's what her journal says:
'Winter is almost knocking on our doors and the animal shelter that I'm volunteering at is working hard to build a special room for the dogs that are hurt, a room full of warmth where they can recover from injuries or even from the harsh conditions. In order to keep the heat in, they obviously need a door and a window that would offer the proper conditions. And that's not really cheap. It all comes down to about $300. I want to do everything I can to help them, because they put their heart and soul into everything that's done there.
I'm willing to donate $50, but I was thinking of asking you, guys, if you want to donate something, anything, to make the task for these wonderful people more achievable.

To those wondering...

I'd love to be able to give you the amount of new work uploads I used to have going a few years ago but I'm finding it more and more difficult lately to just get my head around stressors from other places and just sit and draw. I keep over thinking everything and getting frustrated that nothing is good enough... So I want to apologise to all of my lovely watchers who are probably wondering where my consistency has gotten to. I'll get around this eventually and upload more often.
I'm really sorry again.
I'm still open to questions... or if anyone just needs an ear to listen and the odd upload will have to do in the mean time.
